Front Desk or Receptionist
Job Description
The School Front Desk Receptionist serves as the first point of contact for students, parents, staff, and visitors. This role requires excellent communication, organizational, and customer service skills to ensure smooth daily operations at the front office.
Key Responsibilities:
Front Desk Management:
Greet and welcome students, parents, and visitors in a professional and friendly manner.
Answer incoming phone calls, take messages, and direct inquiries to the appropriate personnel.
Monitor visitor access and maintain visitor logs.
Ensure the reception area remains tidy and presentable at all times.
Administrative Support:
Assist with student attendance, including recording tardies and early dismissals.
Handle student check-in/check-out procedures.
Manage mail distribution, deliveries, and office supplies.
Maintain and update student records, files, and contact information.
Assist with scheduling appointments for school administration.
Communication & Coordination:
Communicate effectively with parents, staff, and students regarding school events and policies.
Distribute newsletters, announcements, and memos as needed.
Assist in coordinating school events, meetings, and parent-teacher conferences.
Emergency & Safety Procedures:
Follow school safety protocols and emergency procedures.
Assist in emergency drills and ensure compliance with security policies.
Notify appropriate staff of any safety concerns or unusual activity.
