Job Description
Job Summary:
The Hindi teacher will be responsible for teaching the Hindi language to students at the [Primary/Middle/Secondary/Senior Secondary] level, depending on the school’s requirements. The teacher will ensure that students develop reading, writing, speaking, and comprehension skills in Hindi. In addition, they will foster an understanding and appreciation of the rich culture and literature associated with the Hindi language.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and Deliver Lessons:
Create and implement lesson plans based on the school’s curriculum and the academic standards of the Hindi language.
Teach students the basics of grammar, literature, and communication in Hindi.
Foster an interactive classroom environment that encourages student participation and engagement.
Assessment and Evaluation:
Prepare and administer tests, assignments, and projects to assess students’ proficiency in Hindi.
Provide timely feedback and maintain academic records.
Monitor students’ progress and implement improvement strategies as needed.
Classroom Management:
Maintain discipline in the classroom.
Encourage positive behaviors and create a respectful learning atmosphere.
Curriculum Development:
Contribute to the development and review of the Hindi language curriculum in line with educational standards.
Incorporate various teaching methods (including the use of digital tools) to cater to different learning styles.
Student Support:
Provide extra support to students who may be struggling with the language or have specific learning needs.
Organize language enrichment activities such as Hindi debates, elocution, essay writing competitions, etc.
Parent-Teacher Communication:
Communicate with parents/guardians regarding students’ progress and address any concerns related to their child’s learning.
Professional Development:
Attend training workshops and educational seminars to stay updated with the latest teaching techniques and curriculum changes.
Collaborate with colleagues for interdisciplinary projects and professional growth.
Cultural Promotion:
Encourage students to appreciate Hindi literature, poetry, and cultural heritage.
Organize and participate in school events that celebrate Hindi Divas, cultural festivals, and language-related programs.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Hindi or related field.
B.Ed. or equivalent teaching qualification.
Proficiency in the Hindi language, both spoken and written.
Strong understanding of Hindi grammar, literature, and pedagogy.
Previous teaching experience (preferred but not mandatory).
Skills and Competencies:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to adapt teaching methods to diverse student needs.
Strong organizational skills for lesson planning and assessment.
Patience and a positive attitude toward teaching.
Familiarity with technology and e-learning platforms.
