Job Description

An English Teacher is responsible for planning, teaching, and assessing students in English language and literature. The role involves developing lesson plans, fostering a love for reading and writing, and helping students improve their communication skills. The teacher should create an engaging and inclusive learning environment while aligning with the school’s curriculum and educational standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Lesson Planning & Instruction:
Develop and deliver engaging English lessons based on the curriculum.
Teach grammar, vocabulary, reading comprehension, writing, and literature.
Incorporate multimedia and interactive teaching methods.

Assessment & Evaluation:
Assign and grade homework, quizzes, essays, and projects.
Monitor and assess student progress through formative and summative evaluations.
Provide constructive feedback and support to students.

Classroom Management:
Establish and enforce classroom rules to maintain a productive learning environment.
Encourage student participation and discussion.
Address behavioral issues in accordance with school policies.

Student Support & Development:
Identify students’ strengths and weaknesses to provide personalized support.
Offer extra help to students who need additional guidance.
Foster critical thinking, creativity, and communication skills.

Collaboration & Professional Development:
Work with colleagues, parents, and school administration to enhance student learning.
Attend meetings, training sessions, and professional development workshops.
Stay updated on new teaching methods and curriculum changes.
