Environmental Science Teacher

Job Description

To educate and inspire students about environmental science and sustainability, promoting awareness of natural resources, ecosystems, and sustainable practices while fostering critical thinking and curiosity about the environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Curriculum Delivery:
Teach Environmental Studies to students as per the school curriculum and guidelines.
Create lesson plans that integrate real-life environmental issues, scientific concepts, and sustainability principles.

Classroom Engagement:
Use interactive teaching methods such as hands-on activities, storytelling, and group discussions to engage students.
Incorporate audio-visual aids, field trips, and experiments to enhance learning.

Skill Development:
Develop critical thinking, observation, and problem-solving skills in students.
Encourage discussions on environmental issues like pollution, climate change, waste management, and biodiversity.

Project Work:
Guide students in completing projects, activities, and assignments related to environmental awareness.
Organize eco-friendly initiatives like tree plantations, recycling drives, or awareness campaigns.

Assessment & Evaluation:
Monitor and assess student progress through tests, assignments, and participation.
Provide constructive feedback to students and communicate progress to parents.

School Collaboration:
Work with colleagues to plan and execute interdisciplinary activities.
Participate in school events such as Science Fairs, Environment Day celebrations, or exhibitions.

Professional Development:
Stay updated on environmental issues, teaching methods, and curriculum changes.
Attend training programs, workshops, and seminars as required.
