Job Summary:
The English Teacher is responsible for delivering high-quality instruction in English Language Arts (ELA) to students, fostering a positive and engaging learning environment. The teacher will be expected to plan, prepare, and deliver lessons that cater to the needs of all students, assess and evaluate student progress, and contribute to the overall academic success and personal development of the students.

Key Responsibilities:
Lesson Planning: Design and implement comprehensive lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and cater to the diverse needs of students.
Instruction: Teach English language and literature to students, including grammar, composition, reading comprehension, creative writing, and literary analysis.
Assessment: Evaluate and monitor student progress through formative and summative assessments, providing timely feedback to students and parents.
Classroom Management: Maintain a well-organized, safe, and disciplined classroom environment conducive to learning.
Student Engagement: Use a variety of instructional strategies to engage students in learning, encouraging critical thinking and problem-solving.
Differentiation: Adapt teaching methods and instructional materials to meet students’ varying needs and interests.
Communication: Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues regarding student performance and school policies.
Professional Development: Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in education and English instruction.
Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other teachers, school staff, and administration to support student learning and school initiatives.
Extracurricular Activities: Lead or assist with extracurricular activities, such as school clubs, student publications, or drama productions, as needed.
Compliance: Adhere to all school policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, or a related field. A master’s degree is preferred.
Certification: State teaching certification in English or equivalent.
Experience: Previous teaching experience is preferred but not required for entry-level positions.
Skills: Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in technology and educational software.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
Ability to lift and move classroom materials as needed.
Work Environment:
School setting with typical classroom conditions.
May involve participation in after-school activities or events.
