Job Overview:
The nursery teacher is responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment where young children can thrive. They plan and implement a curriculum that fosters the social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development of preschool-aged children.

Key Responsibilities:
Curriculum Development:

Plan and implement age-appropriate activities and lessons that promote all areas of child development.
Incorporate play-based learning and hands-on activities.
Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet individual children’s needs.
Classroom Management:

Maintain a positive and structured classroom environment.
Manage group activities, ensuring all children are engaged and participating.
Handle any behavioral issues with patience and positive reinforcement techniques.
Child Development:

Observe and assess each child’s progress, providing feedback to parents and caregivers.
Support children in developing social skills, such as sharing, cooperation, and communication.
Encourage independence, confidence, and curiosity in learning.
Safety and Hygiene:

Ensure the physical safety of children by maintaining a clean and organized classroom.
Teach and reinforce proper hygiene practices, such as handwashing and healthy eating habits.
Respond to any accidents or emergencies following school policies and procedures.
Parent Communication:

Communicate regularly with parents about their child’s progress, any concerns, and classroom activities.
Organize and participate in parent-teacher meetings.
Provide guidance to parents on supporting their child’s development at home.
Professional Development:

Stay informed about the latest early childhood education research and best practices.
Attend training sessions, workshops, and conferences to continually improve teaching skills.
Collaborate with other teachers and staff to share resources and strategies.
Qualifications:
Education: A degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field.
Experience: Previous experience working with young children in a classroom setting.
Certifications: First aid and CPR certification; other relevant certifications depending on local regulations.
Skills:
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Patience, creativity, and a passion for working with young children.
Ability to manage a classroom environment effectively.
Understanding of child development principles and best practices in early childhood education.
Work Environment:
A classroom or childcare setting, typically with small groups of children.
Requires physical activity, including sitting on the floor, lifting children, and participating in play.
Hours:
Full-time or part-time, depending on the position. May require additional hours for planning and parent meetings.
