Office Assistant
Job Description
The School Office Assistant provides administrative support to ensure the smooth operation of the school office. Responsibilities include clerical tasks, communication with parents and staff, record-keeping, and assisting with student-related inquiries. The ideal candidate should be organized, detail-oriented, and possess excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Administrative Support:
Answer phone calls, respond to emails, and direct inquiries to appropriate personnel.
Maintain student records, attendance logs, and school documents.
Handle incoming and outgoing mail and deliveries.
Assist in preparing reports, newsletters, and other school correspondence.
Student & Parent Interaction:
Greet visitors, parents, and students professionally.
Assist with student enrollment and withdrawal procedures.
Notify parents of student absences, emergencies, or school updates.
Office Management:
Maintain and order office supplies as needed.
Coordinate schedules for meetings, events, and school activities.
Ensure the confidentiality of student and staff records.
Support for School Staff & Faculty:
Assist teachers with photocopying, laminating, and organizing classroom materials.
Help with scheduling substitute teachers when needed.
Other Duties:
Support with school events, field trips, and assemblies.
Perform additional duties as assigned by the school administration.
