English Teacher

Job Description

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated English Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for teaching English language and literature to students, fostering a love for reading and writing, and enhancing their communication skills. The teacher should create engaging lesson plans, assess student progress, and support their academic development.

Key Responsibilities:

Teaching & Instruction:
Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging English lessons that meet curriculum standards.
Teach grammar, vocabulary, writing, speaking, listening, and reading comprehension skills.
Introduce students to literature, including poetry, drama, and prose, and encourage critical analysis.
Use a variety of teaching strategies to accommodate different learning styles.
Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation.

Assessment & Progress Monitoring:
Develop and administer tests, quizzes, and assignments to assess student learning.
Provide constructive feedback and support to help students improve their skills.
Maintain accurate records of student progress and report to parents/guardians when necessary.

Classroom Management:
Establish clear rules and expectations for student behavior.
Maintain discipline and create a respectful learning environment.
Address any learning difficulties and provide extra support as needed.

Professional Development & Collaboration:
Attend staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development programs.
Work collaboratively with colleagues to improve teaching strategies and curriculum design.
Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and school administration regarding student progress.
