Job Description

The Science Teacher will deliver engaging and comprehensive science lessons to students, fostering curiosity and a deep understanding of scientific principles. They will create an interactive learning environment, plan and execute lessons aligned with the curriculum, and inspire students to explore scientific concepts through practical experiments and critical thinking.

Key Responsibilities:

Curriculum Delivery:
Plan, prepare, and deliver science lessons in accordance with the prescribed curriculum (e.g., physics, chemistry, biology, or general science).
Design age-appropriate lesson plans that cater to a range of learning abilities and styles.
Incorporate hands-on experiments, multimedia resources, and interactive tools to enhance student learning.

Student Engagement:
Foster curiosity and enthusiasm for science through innovative teaching methods.
Encourage critical thinking and problem-solving skills by posing open-ended questions and facilitating discussions.
Provide individual support and guidance to students as needed.

Assessment and Evaluation:
Prepare and administer quizzes, tests, and assignments to assess student understanding.
Track and report on student progress through detailed records and regular feedback.
Adapt teaching strategies to help struggling students succeed.

Classroom Management:
Maintain a positive and disciplined learning environment.
Ensure students adhere to safety protocols during lab experiments and science activities.
Handle classroom behavior issues professionally and consistently.

Professional Development:
Stay updated on scientific advancements and incorporate them into the curriculum.
Attend staff meetings, workshops, and training sessions.
Collaborate with colleagues to improve teaching strategies and share resources.

Other Responsibilities:
Participate in school events, parent-teacher meetings, and extracurricular activities.
