Job Description

The Pre-Primary Teacher is responsible for creating a nurturing, stimulating, and safe environment for young learners. The teacher facilitates the holistic development of children, focusing on early learning, emotional growth, social skills, and foundational academic concepts.

1. Teaching and Curriculum Implementation:
Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate lessons in areas such as language, numeracy, art, and physical activities.
Foster creativity, curiosity, and a love for learning through hands-on activities, storytelling, music, and play.
Align lesson plans with the school’s early childhood education curriculum.
2. Classroom Management:
Maintain a structured yet flexible classroom environment that supports learning and positive behavior.
Monitor and address individual needs, including emotional and social development.
Use positive reinforcement techniques to guide children’s behavior.
3. Child Development:
Observe and document children’s progress, strengths, and areas needing support.
Identify and respond to developmental delays or challenges in consultation with parents and specialists.
4. Parent Communication:
Build strong relationships with parents through regular communication, including newsletters, parent-teacher meetings, and progress reports.
Offer guidance on at-home activities to reinforce learning.
5. Safety and Hygiene:
Ensure children’s safety during all activities and monitor playtime closely.
Teach basic hygiene practices and assist with personal care when required.
Maintain cleanliness and organization in the classroom.
6. Professional Development:
Attend workshops, training, and staff meetings to stay updated on early childhood education practices.
Collaborate with fellow teachers to share strategies and improve teaching methodologies.
