Job Description

Job Summary:
The English Teacher is responsible for delivering engaging, well-planned lessons to students from various grade levels. The teacher will develop students’ language skills, creativity, and understanding of literature and encourage critical thinking through both classical and modern texts. The ideal candidate will create a supportive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment to maximize learning outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
Teaching & Instruction:

Plan, prepare, and deliver lessons that meet the curriculum requirements.
Teach English language and literature, including reading comprehension, writing, grammar, and vocabulary.
Use creative and interactive teaching methods to engage students.
Develop students’ critical thinking, analysis, and communication skills.
Assign and assess homework, projects, and essays.
Curriculum Development:

Develop lesson plans and activities in line with the school curriculum.
Tailor instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners, including students with varying learning abilities.
Incorporate a variety of educational technologies and resources into lessons.
Assessment & Evaluation:

Monitor and evaluate students’ progress through tests, quizzes, assignments, and exams.
Provide timely feedback to students on their academic performance.
Maintain accurate records of students’ progress and submit grades in accordance with school policies.
Classroom Management:

Maintain a positive, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment.
Implement classroom rules and procedures to manage student behavior effectively.
Encourage a culture of learning and intellectual curiosity.
Collaboration & Professional Development:

Collaborate with colleagues, school administrators, and parents to support students’ academic progress.
Attend staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development workshops.
Participate in school activities, such as parent-teacher conferences, open houses, and extracurricular events.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, or a related field.
Teaching certification or relevant qualifications (depending on regional requirements).
Prior teaching experience (preferred but not required for entry-level roles).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Work Schedule:
