Physical Education Teacher

Job Description

A Physical Education (PE) Teacher is responsible for instructing students in physical activities, promoting fitness, and developing motor skills. They create lesson plans that encourage a healthy lifestyle, teamwork, and sportsmanship. The PE teacher ensures students engage in age-appropriate exercises while maintaining a safe and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Instruction & Curriculum Development:
Plan and implement PE lessons that align with educational standards.
Teach students various sports, exercises, and fitness activities.
Adapt activities to suit different age groups and skill levels.

Student Engagement & Development:
Encourage participation in physical activities and promote teamwork.
Educate students on the benefits of physical fitness and healthy living.
Assess students’ physical abilities and track their progress.

Safety & Supervision:
Ensure students follow safety guidelines during activities.
Provide first aid in case of minor injuries and report serious incidents.
Maintain and inspect sports equipment for safety and usability.

Extracurricular & School Events:
Organize school sports events, competitions, and field days.
Coach school teams and encourage students to participate in sports.
Collaborate with other teachers to integrate physical education with other subjects.

Administrative Duties:
Maintain attendance records and student performance reports.
Communicate with parents regarding student progress and concerns.
Attend faculty meetings and professional development sessions.
