Job Description
The HR Officer is responsible for overseeing all human resource functions within the school, ensuring compliance with labor laws, managing employee relations, and supporting staff development. This role involves recruiting, onboarding, payroll processing, benefits administration, and ensuring a positive workplace environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Recruitment & Staffing
Develop and implement recruitment strategies to attract qualified teachers and support staff.
Screen applications, schedule interviews, and coordinate hiring processes.
Ensure background checks and reference verifications are conducted.
Prepare and issue employment contracts.
2. Employee Relations & Compliance
Address employee concerns, grievances, and disciplinary actions in accordance with school policies.
Maintain employee records and ensure compliance with labor laws and educational regulations.
Develop and enforce HR policies and procedures.
Conduct staff performance evaluations and provide feedback.
3. Payroll & Benefits Administration
Process payroll, leave requests, and attendance records.
Manage employee benefits such as health insurance, retirement plans, and professional development programs.
Ensure timely salary disbursement and tax compliance.
4. Training & Professional Development
Organize and coordinate staff training programs and workshops.
Promote a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
Monitor teacher certification and renewal requirements.
5. Workplace Culture & Well-being
Foster a positive and inclusive work environment.
Develop and implement employee wellness initiatives.
Encourage staff engagement through team-building activities and recognition programs.
