Front Desk or Receptionist
Job Description
The School Front Office Assistant is the first point of contact for students, parents, and visitors. This role requires excellent communication, organization, and multitasking skills to ensure the smooth operation of the school’s front office. The ideal candidate will provide administrative support to the school staff while maintaining a welcoming and professional environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Reception & Communication
Greet and assist students, parents, staff, and visitors in a friendly and professional manner.
Answer and direct phone calls, take messages, and provide information to inquiries.
Handle incoming and outgoing mail, emails, and other forms of correspondence.
Maintain confidentiality of student and staff information.
Administrative Support
Assist in maintaining school records, student files, and attendance logs.
Schedule appointments and meetings for school administrators.
Prepare and distribute memos, newsletters, and other school communications.
Assist teachers and staff with administrative tasks as needed.
Student and Parent Support
Monitor student check-in and check-out procedures.
Handle late arrivals, early dismissals, and absence reporting.
Provide assistance to students who are ill or injured and contact parents when necessary.
Office Management
Order and maintain office supplies and inventory.
Ensure the reception area is tidy and presentable.
Operate and troubleshoot basic office equipment (printers, copiers, fax machines, etc.).
